The Test

  1. Jump from the side into water 1.5 metres or more in depth so that the head fully submerges. Or where there is only shallow water hold a submerged mushroom float for 10seconds.
  2. Then, tread water for 1 minute
  3. Then, swim 50 metres in under 3 minutes

If the child passes the test the parent / carer will be issued with a slip to take to reception. At reception a more detailed form will be completed and signed by the parent / carer . The member of staff that conducted the test will need to sign the form also.

An award card will then be processed and should be available for collection on the child's next visit.
